Advisors

Our project had two excellent advisors, Professor Leah Nillas and Librarian Abby Mann from Illinois Wesleyan University. Both of these advisors played dynamic roles in aiding our project to make it a success. We are very grateful for their guidance throughout this project. 

Professor Leah Nillas is the Educational Studies Department Chair and was the inspiration for this project. She provided us with a position paper that guided our project and the data we examined. We had the opportunity to meet with Professor Nillas several times throughout the duration of the Digital Humanities Summer Fellowship. Throughout these meetings, Nillas inspired us to get creative and take new approaches to the data. 

Librarian Abby Mann is the advisor foreseeing this project and the Digital Humanities Summer Fellowship. She taught us very valuable skills that allowed us to create this project. These skills are beyond technological, they involved teamwork, communication, and other useful skills we will use in our everyday lives moving forward. She assisted us throughout the creation of this site, as well as challenged us to make our project the best version of itself.
