Germanwatch Climate Risk Index

CRI.pdf

Information provided by the Germanwatch Climate Risk Index 2000-2019 and 2019.

This infographic organizes data from the Germanwatch Global Climate Risk Index (CRI) that specifically apply to our project. The index mentioned Philipines and Pakistan as being in the top 10 ranking for climate risk, using statistics from 2000-2019. The ranking and CRI score given to each country are based on fatalities, fatalities per 100,000 inhabitants, absolute losses in purchasing power parties ($USD), losses per unit in GDP (%), and the number of climate-related events. For Japan, specifically, we included data from 2019 as that was the only available data from the CRI. The CRI does not mention the number of events in Japan; However, we were able to utilize information from Verisk Analytics to fill in the blank. The data included in this infographic is in no particular ranking and is solely an organization of the relevant data we pulled from the CRI.

Philipines is ranked worst in 4th-grade science and Pakistan is ranked second worst; Whereas, Japan is ranked 4th best in 4th-grade science.
